and protection of the Bald Eagle. Too many eagles and hawks (and other raptors) become injured
because of gunshot wounds, poisoning, trapping, electrical and/or telephone wires, among
other things. The use of the pesticide DDT accounted for a large number of poisonings of
the bald eagle. A huge debt of gratitude is owed to the many dedicated people, often
volunteers, who help to rehabilitate these beautiful birds. Thank you for your compassion
